Description:
CMI OFFERS IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO OPEN DESIGN, WIDE-BORE MRI.Where to have an MRI is an important decision as not all MRI exams are equal. CMI provides the critical elements to ensure that your scan is of the highest image quality and is interpreted by teaching hospital based Radiologists who specialize in the area being imaged. This combination of technology and professional skill provides you with the diagnostic confidence you require. At CMI there is no wait for MRI services.
COMFORT WITHOUT COMPROMISE
The wide-bore, open design of our magnet offers approximately twice the headroom of traditional magnets and can comfortably accommodate patients up to 550 lbs.
More than 60% of exams are performed with the patient's head outside of the magnet, resulting in a significant reduction of patient anxiety and claustrophobia.
The additional room of our magnet allows patients with back pain to bend their knees during the exam.
ROUTINE AND SPECIALIZED SCANS
CMI's continuing investment in state of the art technology and highly specialized coils permits to offer a number of dedicated scans capable of focusing on a specific area(s) of concern.
WHOLE BODY PREVENTATIVE SCREENING
In less than 60 minutes, 2000+ detailed images are collected and then screened for the early detection of:
. Brain and abdominal aneurysms
. Kidney tumours
. Compression fractures of the spine
. Pelvic screening for certain gynecologic cancers
. Liver lesion detection; and
. Biliary disease
All cases are double read by 2 teaching hospital based radiologists who specialize in the areas being examined.
TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY - SUSCEPTIBILITY WEIGHTED IMAGING (SWI) Diffuse axonal injury (DAI) is one of the most common and devastating types of traumatic brain injury occurring in cases of head trauma.
Susceptibility Weighted Imaging is a new MRI sequence that relies on the magnetic susceptibility of tissues or compounds in the brain, such as iron-rich Hemosiderin, which is a byproduct of hemorrhage. SWI has been shown to detect approximately 600% more microhemorrhages in trauma in comparison to the standard gradient echo imaging sequences.
LITIGATION SCANS - OBJECTIVE EVIDENCE FOR LIABILITY CLAIMS We offer MRI scans to all accident claimants on a contingent basis, so that if the patient does not recover from their insurer, their scan is free.
We accept referrals from all licensed physicians including General Practitioners.
